NovaBiotics is a clinical stage biotechnology company based in Aberdeen and was founded in 2004. Its unique patented peptide anti-infective technology has already demonstrated enhanced efficacy, safety and bioavailability over current and emerging competition as well as the potential for a fast-track route to market and revenue initially through its first application, a topical (brush on) treatment for fungal nail infections (NP213/Novexatin^®).

 

 

Technology

NovaBiotics has looked to nature as the template for engineering a totally novel class of antimicrobial peptide therapies and believes its patented, proprietary technology has the potential to meet the need for safer, more effective antimicrobials and address the various and well described shortcomings of conventional anti-infective therapies.
